As a mutual insurance company, we wake up with one goal every day – and that’s to serve you, our insureds. It’s important to us that we consistently bring the most meaningful insurance solutions to you and all of those in the lumber and related building materials industries. We are excited to share that we have expanded PLM’s capabilities and are now able to help place Workers’ Compensation coverage for lumber business!
We often receive requests from your brokers for assistance in responding to your specific needs, the needs of your businesses, and the safety of wood industry employees throughout the country. It was important to us to come up with a response to the needs of our broker partners, while retaining a level of profitability that will continually benefit our stakeholders, yourself included.
Our answer came in the form of Allied Building Material Agency, Inc. (ABM). ABM is a wholesale brokerage facility that has been owned by PLM since 1935, though not operated in recent years. This year, PLM has made ABM fully operational in order to help you and your broker place your workers’ comp coverage with one of several A-rated carriers that we are appointed with, even if your broker is not. PLM will not be writing your Workers’ Comp policy under its own name, but we will be working with your current broker to handle its placement. This arrangement allows you and your broker the ability to work more fully with PLM and it gives your broker access to additional markets to ensure that your policy is placed with the workers’ comp insurance carrier that best suits your unique needs as a member of the lumber and related building materials industries. You and your employees deserve the peace of mind that comes with knowing that all of your business’s insurance needs are being handled by the company that knows your niche as well as you do. Ask your preferred broker how PLM and ABM can help place your Workers Comp coverage.
