PLM welcomed two new board members and promoted four officers at our April board meeting. These new company leaders represent the best of PLM: experienced, knowledgeable and committed to our insureds.

Cally Fromme is familiar to many of you reading as a leader in the lumber and building materials industry. She served as president and CEO of Zarsky’s Lumber of Victoria, Texas until the company was sold to Kodiak Building Partners in 2015. Now, she is vice president of business development for Kodiak Building Partners. Plus, Ms. Fromme is currently a member of the Executive Council on Construction Supply and previously served as a board member of Lumber Merchandising Corp (LMC) and Lumber & Building Materials Institute (LBMI), as well as a past chair for the board of the National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association (NLBMDA).

With more than 45 years of experience in the insurance industry, W. Craig Myers is no stranger, either. He has broad experience in the insurance industry, working with agencies and insurance carriers alike on product management, sales, underwriting and profit centers—including 11 years with PLM. As vice president of integration and marketing at PLM, he led our team working on the affiliation of PLM and ILM and the team responsible for the successful integration of the companies. Mr. Myers served on the New York Board of Fire Underwriters as chairman and director and as president of the Insurance Managers Association of New York City.

Both Ms. Fromme’s lumberyard expertise and Mr. Myers considerable insurance industry insight and leadership are valuable assets to the PLM Board of Directors

Four of our current colleagues were also promoted to leadership positions: Traci Barber, assistant vice president (AVP) of customer service; Kathleen Dalton, AVP of operations; Tricia Kilrain, AVP of field operations, western region; and Bob McSorley, AVP of field operations, northern region.

Ms. Barber, CISR, AIC, AIS, draws on the expertise she has gained through more than 22 years of customer service experience in the insurance industry. She first joined ILM in 2000 as team leader of customer service. In 2003, she was promoted to manager of customer service and then to director of customer service in 2016 after the affiliation with PLM. She has a bachelor’s in business administration with an emphasis on marketing from West Virginia University.

In 2003, Ms. Dalton joined PLM as an underwriting assistant and was promoted through various positions to underwriting consultant in 2011. She was promoted to underwriting support manager in 2012 with 11 direct reports that increased to 16 after the affiliation. In 2016, she was promoted to director of operations. She began her insurance career in 1993 with a family agency. Ms. Dalton is active in the insurance industry, having served as a member and later committee chair for both the Pennsylvania Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (PAMIC) and the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC).

Ms. Kilrain has been an integral part of PLM’s business development since she joined PLM in 2008, as a business development representative in the western region. In fewer than two years, Tricia met and exceeded expectations and was promoted to manager of operations for the West in 2010. In 2016, she was promoted to director of field operations. Prior to joining PLM, she gained experience in personal and commercial lines with several insurance companies. Based central to the western region in Monument, Colo., Ms. Kilrain is responsible for 22 states and 10 BDRs.

A 34-year veteran of the insurance industry, Mr. McSorley joined PLM in 1988 as a business development representative serving the metropolitan New York territory. He took additional territories including New Jersey and Pennsylvania during his time in the field. In 2013, Bob was promoted to field operations manager overseeing the Northeast & Mid-Atlantic. In 2016, he was promoted to director of field operations. He began his career in 1983 with the Prudential Insurance Company of America and soon moved to the agency side where he specialized in commercial insurance. Bob holds several professional designations including Certified Insurance Councilor (CIC), Associate in Risk Management (ARM) and Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI).

Please join us in congratulating our new board members and officers! We are extremely proud of the talent and expertise of our PLM leadership and know that their skills will be a benefit to our insureds and brokers.
