Trade Shows: A Year in Review

Matt KienholzWritten by Matthew Kienholz VP Marketing

Each year, PLM participates in a robust schedule of events to stay engaged with our customers and industry partners. These events provide invaluable opportunities to immerse ourselves in trade association and buying group environments where we can cultivate meaningful dialogue and learn about emerging industry trends and challenges. These exchanges enhance our knowledge of our customers and improve our ability to tailor solutions to their evolving needs. We cannot envision a better way to build relationships and share the PLM brand.

By the end of 2025, we will have attended a total of 221 trade shows and conventions across 44 states. Throughout the lumber and building material industries, we had the privilege of attending 127 events, 10 of which were accompanied by a PLM hosted dinner. On the insurance side, we attended 94 events where we had the opportunity to educate the broker community about who we are and what we offer to our mutual customers.

As you can imagine, attending hundreds of events in a year requires teamwork and commitment from all corners of an organization. Remarkably, 106 PLM employees attended or exhibited at a trade show this year. Whereas many companies only deploy marketing or sales professionals to events, PLM affords all employees the opportunity to interact with our customer and insurance communities. It is not uncommon to meet one of our Accounting, Information Technology, Loss Control, or Claims professionals at our booths.

If we crossed paths with you at an event this year, we are thankful for your engagement and conversation. If we couldn’t connect in person, we are hopeful to see you next year. Our 2026 trade show and event calendar will be posted soon.

For any questions or comments about our trade show attendance, please contact me at mkienholz@plmins.com.
