Spotlight On: Positioning Our Marketing for the Future

As we approach our 125-year anniversary, we take stock of the exponential growth that PLM has seen and the evolution of its brand. Our brand is our bond. It demonstrates our integral role in the wood industries that we insure. Through the relentless work of our founders and more recent predecessors, our name, our customer experience and our brand promise always precede us. It is our most valued asset and why we are pleased to announce Lindsey DiGangi’s promotion to Corporate Marketing Manager.

Lindsey takes over for Chris Crucitt, who led our marketing department as a vice president for three years. He and his team have done a remarkable job in adapting our marketing strategy as the industry’s needs change. Despite his success, his long-tested underwriting talents have been called upon once more and he has transitioned out of our marketing department to help us in the underwriting department.

Seven years ago, Lindsey joined PLM as an intern. Seeing her potential early in her career, we added her to the leadership team for the Indiana Lumbermens affiliation as a Transition Specialist before her internship was completed. After helping to facilitate the transition, she spent two years in the Underwriting department. Starting as an Underwriting Trainee she quickly assumed an Underwriter role, handling a front-line underwriting desk and working on the roll out of our EPLI product offering. Most recently, she was a Business Analyst in our IT department, where she conceived, developed and lead the implementation of PLM’s intranet and helped improve the utilization of our customer relationship database.

Lindsey earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Temple University, where she majored in Risk Management, Insurance and Entrepreneurship. She holds her Charter Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), the insurance industry’s foremost professional designation, as well as an Associate in Risk Management (ARM) and Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) designations.

Furthermore, Lindsey sits on the board of the Insurance Society of Philadelphia’s NextGen group and is actively engaged in its Independence Gala and I-Day committees. She has also played a role in launching the new Association of Professional Insurance Women (APIW) Chapter here in Philadelphia.

Please join me in welcoming Lindsey to the marketing group.
