If you work with PLM, you know our employees’ dedication and knowledge are at the core of the services and products we provide. That’s why we are proud to announce that PLM was recognized as a Top Workplace in the Greater Philadelphia Area for the second year in a row. This recognition is based on an anonymous, scientific survey that asks employees about management, support provided to employees, the company’s values and other domains.
As part of this year’s entirely virtual Top Workplace program, PLM received a special award for the training provided to employees. More than other companies in the rankings, our employees identified PLM as providing the resources they need for training.
We know customers depend on our expertise, as well as timely and thorough service. At the core of PLM President and CEO John Smith’s vision is the belief that PLM employees must be continually learning for PLM to succeed. Most PLM employees are pursuing an insurance designation or other professional certification related to their role. The company supports their efforts by paying for insurance education programs and business-related education and training, as well as college tuition reimbursement. Plus, our incentive program provides employees a financial award when they pass an exam or complete an insurance designation.
Carla Corrado, manager of talent development, is dedicated to supporting employees with ongoing, timely training and outside professional development opportunities. To stay up to date on our customers’ experiences, PLM provides a biweekly training on changes in the wood industry. Through the COVID-19 pandemic, PLM has also provided employees with training on soft skills important for remote work, including time management and virtual meeting best practices.
Continuing education is part of who we are at PLM and has helped us succeed for 125 years, and we are proud to have that recognized in the Top Workplace rankings. The strength of our team and the knowledge of each team member allow us to better address your insurance and risk management needs.
