Introducing Anytime Risk Management
For our customers – and any business —managing risks requires vigilance. That’s why PLM places a significant emphasis on risk management, with 16 dedicated loss control and 26 business development representatives across the country, all trained to recognize the risks common to wood-related businesses. Now, PLM is introducing the opportunity for customers to see their operations through an insurance professional’s eyes with our Anytime Risk Management (ARM) tool.
ARM is a digital tool that lets business owners take control of the risk management review process with the same support and advice that PLM always strives to provide. Through a simple link that is accessible on any device, customers can walk through their operations, answering questions and taking pictures of common potential exposures. After they are done, customers can conference with their trusted representative to discuss their operations and any opportunities to tighten their risk management efforts. ARM can put customers in the driver’s seat, providing them with a tool that can be used on their own schedule without have to coordinate multiple parties for a walkthrough.
As the wood industry and insurance technology evolve, PLM is staying ahead of the industry’s needs by taking our loss control services into the future. While not all insureds will be immediately eligible for access to the ARM tool, we are continuously seeking ways to expand the use of this tool and others like it to provide customers with real-time support to keep their businesses safe. Our goal is to help make risk management second-nature for insureds.
Here’s an overview of the ARM process, in case our mutual insureds have any questions:
- We’ll call the customer to introduce ARM. After our conversation, they will receive an email that will link them directly to the ARM tool.
- Armed with this link, your customer can complete the process at any time and on any device. We’ll ask them to answer some questions about their operations and take some photos of different areas.
- After they’re finished, they will submit their information to PLM, where our loss control and business development teams will review the results, the same way they do when they are on site.
- In a follow up conversation, a PLM representative and the customer will discuss the ARM information, and we will make recommendations to help keep their business safe.
- After customers use the ARM tool, we’ll ask them for feedback. The customer is our main priority, so we want to make sure that the products and services we’re offering are a benefit to them.
ARM is our inside look at customers’ operations, and we hope your relationship with them will benefit from the insight as well. As more businesses become eligible to use the tool, be on the lookout for further communication on ARM.
